Hamburg Modified Football 2023

Team Rules

• Must have great practice attendance

• Great effort during games and practices

• Act appropriately during school and football- especially in the locker room

TO OFFICIALLY SIGN UP FOR FOOTBALL YOU MUST REGISTER THROUGH OPEROO.  REGISTRATION BEGINS JULY 20th.  YOU WILL RECEIVE AN EMAIL.

You will need proof of a physical that has taken place in the last year, after August 1st of 2022

COMMUNICATION

I will use google classroom as our main form of communication.  Important dates and information will be posted.  It is the players responsibility to check their school email, daily, for google classroom updates.  Parents/guardians can be invited by their kids and receive daily or weekly emails.  The passcode to join our google classroom is–  eohlj24

***Optional Summer Conditioning, Weight Training and Agility will be offered through the Hamburg School District Summer Program.  All information needed to register can be found on our google classroom.

*** MANDATORY SUMMER PRACTICE

August 23rd– Equipment Hand-OUT 9:00am (8th grade) 10:00am (7th grade)

August 24, 25,26, 28, 29, SEPT 2nd—-9:00am-11:00am

August 30th,31st, September 1st, and 5th– 3:00-5:00

September 4th (make up day) 9:00-10:00am

ONCE SCHOOL STARTS 

We will practice from 3:00-5:00 on school days

PLAY TIME

                           A Team (Purple Team) vs. B Team (White Team)

Our top 25ish players will be considered the purple team.  All other players will be considered the white team.  Purple team players should expect to play during the first 4 quarters of our Wednesday games.  White team players should expect to play during the 5th quarter of our Wednesday games or when the score is lopsided.  We will also try to schedule 4 white team games. Most likely on Saturday mornings. 

Safety

Football is an aggressive game.  Contact is expected on every play.  We will do our best to match players of similar skill up in practice.  During a game we do not have this option.  This is why it is necessary to have a purple/white team.

Integrated Girdle- must have tail, hip, thigh pads
