District Profile

The Hamburg Central School District, centralized in 1951, covers 31 square miles in the Towns of Hamburg, Boston, Eden and Orchard Park, including the Village of Hamburg. The district is located 15 miles south of Buffalo near exit 57 of the New York State Thruway.

The district is suburban and semi-rural in nature with a population of about 28,000 and an enrollment of about 3,300 students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12. It has four elementary schools, one middle school, one high school and an administration building.

There are about 521 full-time employees, the majority of whom are teachers.
