Childcare for Familes

On March 16, 2020, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo issued an Executive Order which, among other things, required school districts to distribute information to families regarding childcare facilities that are available for the children of health care workers and first responders. Over the course of the last 24 hours, we took the step of reaching out to every daycare facility in, and around, the Hamburg Central School District to see if they had spots available to accommodate children of healthcare workers and first responders.

We found nine daycare centers who currently have spots available. You will find the name, address, phone number, and ages of children each serves, on page 2 of this letter. Of particular interest may be the program that the YMCA has at their Southtowns facility on Southwestern Blvd., which has approximately 40 spots available.

We hope that you find this list to be a helpful resource for you. We will do our best to update this list regularly on our website.

Please know how much we appreciate the opportunity to be your partners as we support each other through this very difficult time. Please also know how much we miss your children. It’s only been a couple of days, and we are already looking forward to having them back as soon as the circumstances allow.

On behalf of the Board of Education, and all of our employees, we wish you good health in the days ahead.

As we get updated information regarding childcare facilities we will be updating this page.. Childcare facilities
