Our Classroom Rules
Our classroom rules are inspired by the Whole Brain Teaching model.  We will be practicing these rules daily, including the hand gestures that go with each rule.
    Rule One:
    Follow Directions Quickly
    Rule Two:
Raise Your Hand For Permission To Speak
    Rule Three:
Raise Your Hand for Permission To Leave Your Seat
    Rule Four:
    Make Smart Choices *
(as defined by our class, using examples of smart and not smart choices)
       Rule Five:
Keep Your Dear Teacher Happy! *
(If the children are safe, kind, and learning, their teacher is happy!)
     - We will be employing certain beginner aspects of Whole Brain Teaching in the classroom. Whole Brain Teaching is a research based system that utilizes all areas of the brain, keeps children engaged throughout their lessons, and helps them retain much more information than the standard lecture-discussion model.  For more information on Whole Brain Teaching, please feel free to visit the website, www.wholebrainteaching.com
