• ENCORE EXPECTATIONS
     
    During ENCORE, students will be assisted with ELA and SOCIAL STUDIES assignments and class work. This time is used to reinforce the IEP Goals of the student's with needs in these areas. During ENCORE, students will have the opportunity for extra help with any assignment related to goals or tests. The following explains student expectations during ENCORE :
     
    1. SILENT- ENCORE is a silent work period. Students are expected to work independently and silently when not working on goals and instructional support.
     
    2. REQUEST PASSES- Students must obtain a request pass from a teacher to go to the computer lab or LMC to work on an academic assignment. These passes must be obtained PRIOR to the start of ENCORE. This would include passes for OFF team teachers. IEP Goals and CORE reinforcement will often take precedent over request passes.
     
    3. PLANNER PASSES- Planner passes will be signed to allow students to leave the room to receive help from another team teacher. Students may not leave the room without their planner, and may not use a friend's planner. Students should bring planners to class each day for passes as well as a check for homework.
     
    ELA COURSE EXPECTATIONS

    In addition to Mrs. Sperry's course expectations, students are expected to come to class completely prepared with binders, journals, and writing material. Students are expected to utilize their Writing Folders, kept in the classroom, to hold essays and writing assignments.
     
    SOCIAL STUDIES COURSE EXPECTATIONS
     
    Please refer to Mrs. Zawodzinski's Course Expectations for Team #8.
     
    In addition to Mrs. Z's course expectations, students are expected to arrive to every class with binders, books, and writing materials. Students will need note cards for vocabulary flashcards for each unit. Students should keep EACH set of flashcards attached inside their binders for reinforcement.
