• AIS or "Academic Intervention Services" as the acronym stands for is a service provided to students who have not passed the New York State English exam or who are struggling with being successful in their English classes.

Although students may begin the year not thrilled with the idea of receiving AIS, most end the year more confident and more successful because of it.

What is covered:  students in my classes will acquire skills and strategies to improve their vocabulary, comprehension and writing.  Content area information may be used and/or retaught to strengthen or improve current skill levels.
