4th and 5th Grade
Elementary Track Meet
On Tuesday, June 4th, at 4pm, 4th and 5th graders are invited to take part in the Elementary Track Meet on Howe Field at the High School. Students from all the elementary buildings will compete in different track and field events. During Physical Education classes, students will be practicing the different track and field events to prepare. Towards the end of May, students will be asked to sign up to get a number. There is no advanced registration for any specific event. Students simply need to report to the events of their choice when they are announced. Students should plan ahead to which events they want to compete. Students can compete in up to 3 events. They can compete in 2 running and 1 field or 2 field and 1 running.

Winners will receive ribbons on the day of the meet. In the running events, the winner of each heat is not the winner of the day. The winner for the day is the one with the fastest time from all the heats at that distance. Students should run their fastest, even if they are ahead of everyone in their race.
