Responsibility (September)
v Knowing and doing what is expected of me
v position of being in charge of something. the state or job of being in charge of someone or something and of making sure that what they do or what happens to them is right or satisfactory
v moral duty to behave in particular way.
Self-control (October)
v the ability to control your own behavior, especially in terms of reactions and impulses
v rejecting wrong desires and doing what is right
Compassion = Caring = Empathy
v sympathy. a feeling of sympathy for someone who is in a bad situation because you understand and care about them
v kind, helpful, and sympathetic toward other people
v ability to understand how someone feels. the ability to understand how someone feels because you can imagine what it is like to them
v doing whatever is necessary to heal the hurt of others
Truthfulness (November)
v Earning trust by accurately telling facts about what has happened
v being completely honest in thought, word, and deed, even on little things - especially when one may have to pay a high price
v to have or show great respect and admiration for somebody or something
v strong moral character or strength, and adherence to ethical principles
v showing respect for others because of the higher authorities they represent

v the practice of obeying a law, rule, or request
v quickly carrying out the direction of those who are responsible for me

v Fulfilling obligations – doing what you said you would do
v Reliable, can be trusted

v Accepting people for who they are

v an honest way of behaving that shows that you really mean what you say or do
Benevolence
v Giving to others’ needs without consideration of personal gain
