• Concert Chorale's History

Under the direction of Norman Zogaib since 1998, the Hamburg High School Concert Chorale has performed throughout the Northeastern United States and Canada. Highlights have included invitations to the 2000 and 2008 NYSSMA Winter Educators Conference and performed in Lincoln Center's Avery Fisher Hall in New York City in 2008. The Chorale has also given three featured performances in Carnegie Hall, including an invitation to the only state-wide choral festival sponsored by Carnegie Hall in 2003. In 2009, The Chorale hosted Andre Thomas of Florida State University as an artist in residence for workshops and a public performance. In 2010, the Hamburg High School Concert Chorale performed at the American Choral Directors Association Eastern Division Conference in Philadelphia.

In addition to winning the Outstanding Overall Choir Awards at national choral festivals in New York City and Toronto, the Chorale earned eight consecutive Level 6 Gold with Distinction ratings at NYSSMA Major Organization Festivals from 2000 to 2009. The ensemble has performed with professional, collegiate, high school, and community ensembles such as the Orchestra of St. Luke's at Carnegie Hall, The Buffalo Philharmonic, The Amherst Symphony Orchestra, The Buffalo Choral Arts Society, The Eastman Chorale, The SUNY Fredonia Chamber Singers, The Houghton College Choir, and The Frontier High School Symphonic Orchestra.
