• About Dr. Lesinski:
    Nicole M. Lesinski graduated from Frontier High School with honors in 1997. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Secondary English Education from SUNY Fredonia in 2001. She earned her Master's Degree as a Reading Specialist in Literacy Education from Canisius College in 2003. In 2010 she earned her National Board Teaching Certification in ELA for Young Adults. She earned her PhD in Curriculum, Instruction and the Science of Learning with a concentration in English Education from the University at Buffalo in 2017, with a focus on effective methods of feedback on student writing in the ELA classroom.
    In the summer, Nicole has worked as a mentor teacher for the WNYWP Teen Writing Camp at Canisius College, and is a fellow of the National Writing Project. She has taught English 9, Creative Writing, Journalism, English 11, English 10 Honors, English 10 Regents, and has been an Academic Intervention Specialist for students at risk. She began her teaching career in 2001, and has been working in the Hamburg Central School District since 2004.
