"Purple Goes Green" seeks presenters
Environment is focus for May 15 community event
Presenters with expertise in environmentally-friendly activities are invited to participate in the Hamburg Central School District's first annual Purple Goes Green Community Day on Saturday, May 15 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. rain or shine at Hamburg High School, 4111 Legion Dr. This celebration of natural resources will feature fun and educational demonstrations and activities of interest to all ages on such topics as plants and agriculture, wildlife, recycling, composting and conservation.

Space is available to individuals and organizations willing to run a free workshop. Donations are also being accepted. For more information, contact Patrick Cauley, Community Day chairman and a Hamburg Middle School teacher, at pcauley@hamburgschools.org or 646-3250 by April 12.

This event is being sponsored by the school district's Purple and Green Task Force, whose goal is to raise awareness and promote “greener” schools and community.
