Mission Statement
The Hamburg High School Health Science Academy is a school-within-a-school program designed for students who are interested in exploring health-related careers.  Our goal is to expose students to a rigorous interdisciplinary academic program that provides relevant preparation for the diverse career opportunities available in the health science and medical fields.
In addition to participating in the three year curriculum, academy students will visit health care facilities, host various health and science professionals, discuss current trends in health science, and have the potential to earn college credit.  It is the perfect opportunity to get a head start in the competitive and rewarding fields of medicine and health science.

While on a field trip to the  Center of Excellence and Bioinformatics Center, academy students had the opportunity to meet Norma Nowak, a pioneering genetic researcher on the original human genome project. Students also had the opportunity to extract and view their own DNA.
