Spring has sprung at Union Pleasant, with tulips and daffodils popping up everywhere. As the warmer weather returns to the area, it's always good to be reminded about some things that we like to encourage around the school.
- As much as possible, try to send your child to school in closed shoes or sneakers. Many classes will find time to go outside when the sun shines, but flips flops and sandals aren't allowed on the playground.
- Give your child a water bottle as they're scurrying out the door. The building can get warm, even in the mild spring, and having water right on top of their desk can save children a trip out of the room to the water fountain.
- If you know your child's class is going to be outside for an extended period during the day, put sunscreen on before they leave. Sending along sunscreen is fine, too (but if I remember being a kid, putting on sunscreen wasn't exactly tops on my to-do list).
Thanks! Happy spring!
