  • HHS Percussion Ensemble Welcomes Spring With a Bang

    Please join the Hamburg High School Percussion Ensemble at their Spring Concert on Wednesday, April 27 at 7:30pm in the HHS Auditorium. This all-percussion concert will feature small and large ensemble pieces, as well as student soloists. Admission is free.

  • June 1 - Common Core Exam

    There will be no classes on Wednesday, June 1, 2016. Students who are schedule for exams will report at the appropriate time. Common Core Algebra 2 is scheduled for 7:35am for students registered for it. All students enrolled in Accounting will take that exam at 11:30pm. Students taking the afternoon exam are welcome to come in on the morning bus run and stay in the auditorium until the exam starts. There will not be a mid-day pick up to school. The 2:20pm buses will run as scheduled. If you have questions regarding the examinations, please talk to the classroom teacher.

    -Attention Donate Life members there will be a meeting on Monday (5/2) after school.  See you there!

    -GSA is having another bake sale!  This Wednesday Thursday and Friday we will be selling baked goods in front of the Aud after school.  Proceeds will help offset our t-shirt costs.  Cake, cookies and more cake for a dollar or less!

    -Students who don't read proficiently by the 3rd grade are 4 times likelier to drop out of school.  Want to make a change about this?  Then donate books for ages between Pre-K and 6th Grade into bins in English classrooms and the Main foyer, and make a difference.

    -There will be a Varsity H meeting on Wednesday (5/4) after school.  Anyone interested in running for an officer position, see Mrs. Bagley or    Mr. Chaffee as soon as possible.


    -Attention Seniors:  There are still a few scholarship opportunities available.  Deadlines are quickly approaching!  Check out the scholarship bulletin on line or stop by the Counseling Center.

    -Tuesday, May 3rd will be College Decision Day.  All Seniors should wear apparel from the college they will be attending in the Fall.

    -Tomorrow the Food Trucks will be here from 3-8 p.m.  Lloyd's, Chef's, Taffy's, Cheesy Chick, and Big Susie's Little Bakery will all be here!
    10% of proceeds will go to Hamburg Softball.



    -Students must stop in Mrs. Bolin's office to pick up their Neon Dance ticket refund.

    -Attention all Varsity Football players:  If you have not already talked to Coach Tripp or Chris Janak concerning your jersey for the upcoming season, please do so today.

    -If you are interested in running for class office, applications are ready for pick up in the Main Office.  They are due by Monday (5/2) at 3 p.m.

    -The Junior Class is sponsoring a Chiavetta's Chicken BBQ this Wednesday (4/27) at 2:30 for $10.  Profits go towards Prom costs.

    -GSA has come up with a final design for their 2016 t-shirts.  Please see Mitch Beiter if you want to purchase one.  Cost is approximately $20-25.

    -Interested in trying out for Cheerleading?  Join us for our Spring training starting this Sunday (5/1).  Check the website for specific information.

    -A representative from the US Navy, John Caryk, a Hamburg High School grad, will be in the Counseling Center Conference Room, on Monday 5/2 from 10-10:30 a.m.  On Tuesday (5/3), a  representative from the U.S. Army will be in the Counseling Center Conference Room from 10-11 a.m.  If you are interested, please obtain a  pass from the Counseling Center.  



    -The next Drama Club meeting will be Wednesday (4/27) after school.

    -Attention DASA Student Ambassors:  We will rehearse on Monday (4/25) at 2:30.  The UB Competition dress rehearsal is 6:00 p.m. today (4/25).  The permission slips are to be turned in to Mrs. LaMendola.

Who We Are

Hamburg High School is a comprehensive High School located in the Village of Hamburg, New York; a suburb south of Buffalo. The school offers an exciting variety of courses and activities to help prepare 1200 students in grades 9 -12 for post secondary education and/or future careers. The instructional program is designed to encourage students to achieve at the highest level possible, with emphasis on Regent and Advanced Placement courses. The Advance Placement program is extensive with offerings of 14 AP courses. A Learning Center, Library Media Center, and Computer labs, are available to all students to assist in the achievement of individual academic goals.
