  • HHS Percussion Ensemble Welcomes Spring With a Bang

    Please join the Hamburg High School Percussion Ensemble at their Spring Concert on Wednesday, April 27 at 7:30pm in the HHS Auditorium. This all-percussion concert will feature small and large ensemble pieces, as well as student soloists. Admission is free.

  • June 1 - Common Core Exam

    There will be no classes on Wednesday, June 1, 2016. Students who are schedule for exams will report at the appropriate time. Common Core Algebra 2 is scheduled for 7:35am for students registered for it. All students enrolled in Accounting will take that exam at 11:30pm. Students taking the afternoon exam are welcome to come in on the morning bus run and stay in the auditorium until the exam starts. There will not be a mid-day pick up to school. The 2:20pm buses will run as scheduled. If you have questions regarding the examinations, please talk to the classroom teacher.

    ~  There will be a GSA meeting this Thursday in Room 121l.  All are welcome!


    ~  There will be an informational meeting for Fall Cross Country and the Summer Running Program on Thursday with Mr. Fortuna in Room 205 after school.


    ~  Want to share your poetry?  Writer's Guild is having another Night of Poetry on Friday, June 3rd from 7-8:30 PM in the Auditorium.  No cost for admission--just listen!


    ~  The single most significant factor in influencing a child's early educational success is an introduction to books prior to school.  You can help with this by donating new children's books to Books for kids.  Drop books off into this bins in the Main Foyer or English Classrooms.


    ~  A representative from the National Guard will be in the Counseling Center Conference Room on Wednesday, May 25th at 1:00 PM.  If you are interested, please obtain a pass from the Counseling Center.


    ~  If you are interested in Rowing, the West Side Rowing Club will have an informational meeting in the LMC on Thursday, May 26th at 2:30 PM.  they will discuss their summer and team programs.  Any questions see Mr. Cauley.


    ~  Seniors--Please report any scholarships you have been offered to Counseling ASAP.


    ~  There will be a meeting for all JV/Varsity Girl's Basketball players on Thursday, May 26th @ 2:30 in the Cafeteria to give out Summer League & Camp info.  Please see Mrs. Owens with questions.


    ~  There is a mandatory meeting for Junior NHS members Wednesday the 25th in the LMC at 2:30 PM regarding officer elections and other important items.  Bring $5.00 in exact change to the meeting.


    ~  Attention Athletes:  Sign up now for this Summer's Bulldog Boot Camp.  Our all sport summer conditioning program.  Forms available in HPER Office.  If you have questions see Coach Cauley.


    ~  Attn:  Drama Club.  The last Drama Cub meeting of the school year will be this Wednesday after school in Room 245.  Come celebrate our year's accomplishments and participate in Drama Club's officer elections.


    ~  Due to circumstances beyond our control, we will NOT be offering Driver Ed this summer.  We hope to be able to bring it back in the Fall.  Watch the website over the summer to find out if we are offering it.


    ~  For those students taking AP US History next year.  There will be a meeting on Tuesday after school in Room 205 with Mr. Fortuna.  You will receive your summer assignments.  Make sure your applications are in.


    ~  Attention All Students Attending the "Breakfast of Champions" tomorrow morning:  All students must report to homeroom and wait for the announcement to report to the Cafeteria!


    ~  The Senior Lounge is closed tomorrow due to the Breakfast of Champions.  Study hall teachers should keep students in Study Hall.

Who We Are

Hamburg High School is a comprehensive High School located in the Village of Hamburg, New York; a suburb south of Buffalo. The school offers an exciting variety of courses and activities to help prepare 1200 students in grades 9 -12 for post secondary education and/or future careers. The instructional program is designed to encourage students to achieve at the highest level possible, with emphasis on Regent and Advanced Placement courses. The Advance Placement program is extensive with offerings of 14 AP courses. A Learning Center, Library Media Center, and Computer labs, are available to all students to assist in the achievement of individual academic goals.
